Marathon Builders is located in Western North Carolina in the small town of Lake Lure. Our business has specialized in custom home building since 1999. We are continuing to grow and shape our company into a thriving and successful business. Quality and relationships are the foundation of who we are and what we take with us from every job we are privileged to be a part of. Building a relationship with our clients is important and providing quality craftsmanship is a priority. The driving force behind Marathon Builders is two self-driven and motivated individuals: Jonathan Hinkle and Mark Helms.

Marathon Builders was initially developed as a custom home building company. We pride ourselves in who we have become in our business and as individuals. We have decided to take our business to a new level - BUILDING SMART . It is important to us that as the economy and building ethics change, we change as well. Building SMART, and building green is something that we have practiced for years, but not enforced. We feel that changing who we are today can shape and improve who we will be tomorrow. As a building company we have the opportunity and the responsibility to make our world a better place and we truly intend on “starting at home.”
